CEED Problem Identification and Analysis Papers
Common Entrance Examination For Design or better known as CEED is the examination that is conducted by IITs and ISCs. The examination is of very high standard and students need to prepare very well to succeed in the examination.
Qualification for appearing in this exam:
Students who are graduated from any of the recognised board or University and having more than 60% of marks can apply for the examination. Students going to obtain their passing certificate before the entrance examination can also apply for the paper. Age limit criteria is not there for the examination. The score of the test is valid for next 2 years.
Scoring and Negative Marking:
This is a design paper and is not like any other entrance exam. Here you will get a design sheet where you have to draw the required graphical diagrams. Hence, there is no question of negative marking.
Mode of Exam:
Paper is taken as a conventional pattern and students have to solve the paper in an Answer sheet provided by the examiners. Also, students get a time limitation and they have to solve the paper very fast.
Paper Pattern:
A picture is given and candidates have to find some unique problems in that picture from view point of the users. After that they have illustrate solutions for all those problems and that too with the help of sketches. Evaluation Criteria for this part has been divided into two:
- 10 marks altogether for identifying each unique problems
- 10 marks for the appropriateness of the solutions provided by you.
Marking:
This part of the CEED Exam holds 20 marks.
