Admission process in Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vidhyalaya

Bachelor degree holders in science are eligible to apply for M.Sc courses. Bachelor degree must be obtained in any of the streams of Agriculture, Horticulture or Forestry. Such candidates must possess minimum 60% marks in qualifying examination.

Apart from the qualifications mentioned above, B.Sc holders in Mathematics can apply for M.Sc (Agriculture) in Agricultural Statistics.

• Science graduates in Botany, Zoology or Chemistry can apply for M.Sc (Agriculture) in Plant Physiology.
• B.Tech holders in Dairy Technology/Food Science are eligible for M.Sc (Agriculture) in Food Technology.
• In case of MBA in Agri–Business Management, candidates with B.Sc/B.Tech degree in Agricultural Engineering can apply.
• Master degree holders in Agriculture can apply for Ph.D in Agriculture/ Agricultural Engineering.
• Engineering graduates in Agricultural Engineering can apply for any of the M.Tech courses mentioned above.

Selection of candidates to any of these courses is done purely on the basis of merit. Selected candidates are short listed on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination.

Application forms for admission can be collected from the official portal of the University. Application processing fee amounts to Rs. 250/-. This must be paid in the form of Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order. Filled up application forms must be sent to the address of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vidhyalaya, along with the following documents.

• Photo copies of mark sheets
• Passport size photographs
• Transfer Certificates/Migration Certificate

Applications must reach the office of the University before last date. Applications received after the mentioned date will not be entertained.
