National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science & Technology is a constituent Laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, established under the Government of India. The institute is mainly engaged in the R & D programs in the area of Agroprocessing, Chemical Sciences, Material & Minerals, Biotechnology etc. The institute has a vision to emerge the first choice of the users of its outputs of Research and Development. Dr. Suresh Das is the current Director of the institute. The institute was formerly known as Regional Research Laboratory.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from young and professional candidates for the posts of Data Entry Operators in National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science & Technology. Candidates will be recruited or appointed on purely temporary basis i.e. candidates will have to work under a contract that will be made for a period of six months. Candidates will have to work under the Project entitled “Building Electronic Bases Effective Work Places” at Trivandrum.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must have been acquired the age of maximum age limit set i.e. 28 years as on 26 April 2011. Candidates having age more than 28 years must belongs to any reserved category or else his/her candidature will get cancelled. SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates will get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit set for the post, as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

The essential qualification required for the post of Data Entry Operator in National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science & Technology is Graduation in Computer Science. Those candidates, who have done Graduation with 2 years Diploma in Computer Science with knowledge of computer application are also eleigible for applying for the specified post. Interested candidates must have a typing speed of 40 words per minute on computer.

Pay Scale:

Selected candidates will be gievn the consolidated salary of Rs. 14000 per month.

Selection Committee:

The mode of selection for the specified post includes a written test and a group discussion followed by a Interview test. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written test and Group Discussion. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a typing skill test and interview test on specified date. The walk-in-interview will be helod on 26 April 2011 from 9 Am onwards. Candidates will not be allowed to entertained after 10 AM under any circumstances.
