The DAV College of Chandigarh is the most popular college in the region as highlighted by a survey organized by India Today. A+ Grade is provided to this college by NAAC for its excellent teaching facility and campus facilities. The DAV College was established in the year 1918 by Mahatma Hans Raj, Pt. Lakhpat Rai, Principal Pt. Mehr Chand and Lala Radha Ram in the honor of Dayanand Saraswati. The college is affiliated to Punjab University and offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the candidates.
