Pune University conducts entrance exam at the beginning of every academic year to select candidates for post graduate courses in Computer Science Department. This entrance examination is conducted for selecting candidates for M.Sc and MCA courses. Science graduates having studied mathematics as a subject in 12th class level can apply for MCA course whereas graduates in Computer Science can apply for M.Sc (Computer Science). The entrance examination includes objective model questions from subject areas like – general aptitude, mathematics and English language.

Eligibility Criteria for PUCSD Entrance Examination

Separate eligibility criteria are specified for candidates who intend to join for both MCA and M.Sc courses in Pune University. To join for MCA course, it is compulsory for candidates to complete graduation in science stream and need to study Mathematics as a subject at 12th class level. BCA qualified graduates can also apply for MCA. In case of M.Sc (Computer Science) course, candidates need to hold a graduate degree in Computer Science or related subjects. It is important to score at least 60% marks in graduate level to apply for any of the above mentioned post graduate courses.

Application Procedure for PUCSD Entrance Examination

An online application procedure is generally followed by candidates for this entrance examination by logging in to the official website of Pune University. Before submitting online applications, it is compulsory for candidates to remit an application fee of Rs 800/- (Rs 500/- for reserved categories). This can be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD). It is essential to draw the DD amount on behalf of The Registrar, University of Pune’, payable at Pune via any of the nationalized banks. The online application form needs to be filled up correctly by entering all specific details. On successful completion of the same, an application number and ID will be allotted to the candidates.
