Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination has issued notification for joint entrance exam for medical/engineering courses in the state of Tripura. The exams are proposed to be conducted in two days, 24th April, 2013 and 25th April 2013. The test is conducted in objective model covering questions on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. There will be 50 questions from each session carrying two marks each.

Eligibility Criteria for Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) 2013

Applicant must have completed higher secondary education either from Tripura Board of Secondary Education/ CBSE or any other equivalent board. Those who have appeared or due to appear in HSC board exam by 2013 are also eligible. Such candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Tripura. Parents of the applicant must have been residing in the state of Tripura for a minimum duration of 10 years.

Applicants who are not a permanent resident of Tripura are also considered eligible, if their parents are working at Officer level position (in Tripura) either under central/state government.

Pattern for Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) 2013

TBJEE is proposed to be conducted in two days, 24th April, 2013 and 25th April 2013. Sessions of Physics and Chemistry will be conducted in the first day. Each of the paper is carried out as a separate test and time allotted for answering each of these sessions is 2 hours. Mathematics and Biology paper will be conducted the next day. Each of the individual papers comprise of a total of 50 questions for 100 marks (50 x 2). Test for the first day is compulsory for all candidates. For the second day, candidate can go for mathematics or biology, depending on the stream to be selected for study. Candidates seeking admissions to engineering/technical degree courses must select mathematics where as others can go with biology. Those seeking admissions to both engineering and medical streams should attend all the four subjects.

Application Procedure for Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) 2013

Prospectus along with application form can be collected either from the office of TBJEE or the Directorate of Higher Education, Agartala. This can be collected by making a payment of Rs. 80/-. It can also be downloaded from the web portal of TBJEE or through postal method. In such cases, candidate can make their fee payment through any of the branches of State Bank of India, using an e- challan form downloaded from TBJEE web portal.
