IBPS has invited applications for filling the Specialist Officer positions in 20 nationalized banks of the country. Professionals from fields like Engineering, Management, Law and Agriculture can participate in the selection process. The very first step of the selection process is a Common Written Exam (CWE) and IBPS is conducting the same in diverse centers across the country. CWE comprise objective model questions on English Language, General Awareness and Professional Knowledge. Applications can be submitted online through IBPS portal till 28th January 2013.

Exam Pattern for IBPS ‘Specialist Officer’ 2013

Written test comprises of objective model questions that need to be completed within 2 hour time duration. Exam Pattern for Law Officer- Scale I & II & Rajbhasha Adhikari Scale I differs slightly from other positions. For these positions there will be a total of 200 questions from the following topics.

  • English Language
  • General Awareness
  • Professional Knowledge
  • Reasoning

There will be 50 questions from each of the sections. Marks distribution varies with sections. Professional knowledge and English Language section carries 75 and 25 marks respectively where as the other two sections carries 50 marks each.

For all other job positions, questions will be asked from the following subject areas.

  • English Language
  • Professional Knowledge
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning

Here also 50 questions will be asked from each section with Professional knowledge and English Language carrying 75 and 25 marks in that order. Other sections carry 50 marks each.

Application Procedure for IBPS ‘Specialist Officer’ 2013

Application fee for attending the test is Rs. 400/-. This can be paid either through online or offline methods. Candidates opting online fee payment methods can accomplish it using Master/Visa cards or internet banking facility. Others can make their payment directly through any of the following public sector banks.

  • Bank of India
  • Bank of Maharashtra
  • Indian Overseas Bank
  • United Bank of India
  • Bank of Baroda
  • Central Bank of India
  • Punjab National Bank

Offline fee payment can be made with the help of fee challan downloaded from IBPS website.

After making fee payment or making arrangements for online payment, one can start with the registration process. Online application form will be available in IBPS portal. After filling all the necessary details, a scanned copy of photograph and signature must be attached along with the application form. Photograph and signature must be in the specific format and size as mentioned. Filled up application forms can be submitted through the web portal of IBPS itself.
