sir,my qualification is BEIT.can i aaply to IBPS PO or IT specialist officer? which exam can i give&when?

YES, you can apply for both the exams.

Below is the Eligibilty criteria for the IBPS PO exams:
Graduation Pass in any stream with minimum 60% marks
Age should be between 20 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


You can also aply for the IT Officer Scale 1 exams conducted by IBPS
Below is the Eligibilty:
Education:Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation
Age should be between 20 and 35 years

Currently you can apply for the SBI PO exams

Below is the Eligibilty criteria for the SBI PO exams:
Graduation Pass in any stream
Age should be between 21 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

Last date to apply is 23rd February 2013
SBI PO exam will be held on 28th April 2013

You have completed B.E degree in IT so you can apply for both PO and IT officer exam .

for giving the IBPS SO exam for the specialist officer, you should be a graduate from a recognized indian univeristy in any stream and your age should be in between 20-30 years of age. You should have completed your degree bt the time you give the exam. Under graduates are not allowed to give the exam. And there is no percentage criteria for giving this exam. The date for this year’s Specialist officer exam is 16/17th march 2013

A candidate selected for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) must also have knowledge about basic computer handling....

Age Limit should be between 21-30 years ...

Yes you can apply for IBPS PO and Specialist officer if you have done B.E in Information and Technology.

For IBPS PO only Graduation in any discipline is required and for Specialist officer you need a specialised Degree in respective field.

You are Engineering is Computer Science hence you will be eligible for I T Officer or Technical Officer.

Please note that when you are applying for specialist officer you can apply for only one post.

The age criteria is mentioned below:

For IBPS age limit is between 21 to 30 years for General Category.

For Specialist Officer age limit is 21 to 35 years for General Category.

There is age relaxation for other categories which are as follows:

-5 years age relaxation for SC/STs.

-3 years age relaxation for OBCs.

-10 years age relaxation for PWDs.

The selection procedure will have an objective type paper which you have to clear if you want to proceed to next level .Those who are in merit are called for interview.

The selection will be based on the marks obtained in the paper and interview.

There is one difference between specialist officer paper and PO. There will be professional Knowledge section in place of general awareness .

Well it depends on you means which exam you want to write and in which post you have personal interest as according to me choose the post in which you have the personal interest.

Because you know yourself more than us so better would to choose yourself rather than us.

For the Institute of Banking and Personnel services you need a graduation degree for both of the jobs po as well as for the specialist officer.

As for the specialist officer job you need a graduation degree in the field in which you have passed your graduation degree.

Also for the exams you need the age limit is between 21 to 30 years and also for the exam their is age relaxation for the obc and sc and st of 3 and 5 years.

And also for the exam the candidate must be a citizen of India

Yeah sure you can apply for the IBPS PO/SO Entrance Recruitment Exams. I am going to give you a detailed information on the same. As you may know that IBPS - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection which is an organization who work towards the same. They conduct exams on behalf of 20 Nationalized banks.

There are mainly 3 posts in which the Banks take candidates and they are :-
Clerical, Probationary Officer and Specialist Officer. You can apply in any of them provided you meet the Eligibility Criteria of that particular post.

Basic Criteria doesn't ask for much except that you should be a graduate in ANY stream from a central government recognized college or university. For Clerical your aggregate should be 55% and for the PO/SO it should be more than 60%. Age criteria is that it should be within 20-28 years in the year of applying.

Recently IBPS put out notification for the Specialist Officer recruitment but the last date for it was on 28th January which is over. I am still uploading the Notification for your reference.
