Exam Pattern and Application Procedure of IBPS CWE Clerical Exam 2012
Online examination conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will contain 200 objective type questions from General aptitude, Computer knowledge and General Awareness. Candidates will be given 2 hours to attend all the questions. Applications should be sent online from the official website of the institute.
Exam Pattern of IBPS Clerical Exam
The common written examination for clerical cadre will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. There will be a maximum of two hundred questions. Questions will be in multiple choice objective type formats. Candidates can expect questions from the following topics.
- English Language and Comprehension
- Computer Knowledge
- Numerical Ability
- Logical and Verbal Reasoning
- General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry
There will be a maximum of 40 questions from each section. Each question carries one mark. The time duration of the entire test is 2 hours. Total marks allotted for this online examination is two hundred. Medium of instruction will be in Hindi and English language, except for the Test of English language and Comprehension.
For every wrong answer one fourth of the total marks assigned to the question will be deducted. There will be sectional cut off in this examination. So as to qualify the examination, in each section the candidates will have score minimum marks.
Application Procedure for IBPS Clerical Exam
Eligible candidates who wish to apply for the common written examination are required to apply online from the official website of the institute. No other format of application is accepted. Candidates should have a valid email id, scanned version of signature and recent passport size color photograph in jpeg format. The size of photograph should be in 200 x 230 pixels and its file size should be between 20KB and 50 KB. Signature should be put in white paper with black paper. The scanned version should have dimension of 140 x 60 pixels. The file size should be between 10 KB and 20 KB. They will have to upload the scanned version of photo and signature as part of online application process. Apart from this they have submit academic details, contact details and details of fee payment.
Application fee for general and OBC category students is Rs. 400/-. Those who belong to ST/ SC are required to pay Rs. 50/-. Fee payment can be done by using CBS challan in any of the nationalized banks listed in the website of IBPS. Apart from this candidates can make payment by using Visa/ Mater credit or debit card. Those who have successfully submitted the application form will receive a system generated confirmation mail and SMS. In addition to this they will be asked to save the completed application form for future reference.
