2nd year B.E in IIT Kanpur after completing diploma from private college?
I am diploma holder. I have completed diploma from private college with 73%. I want to join IIT Kanpur 2nd year B.E, how could I do this?

Sorry, to say that you cannot join in IIT, Kanpur for pursuing B.E 2nd year after completion of your three years Diploma course with an aggregate of 73% marks from a recognised board. To get admission in IIT, the candidate must have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board and must have appeared, qualified and secured good rank in JEE Main and Advance examination. So, being a Diploma holder, you are not eligible to get admission in B.E 2nd year in IIT, Kanpur.

Unfortunately, IITs don't offer lateral entry admission in B.Tech courses. Therefore, you will not get admission in IIT, Kanpur because you are a diploma holder.
You need to appear for LEET or JELET or any other state level lateral entry exam. IITs give admission through JEE Main and Advanced for which diploma holders are not eligible. |
