Currently I am doing Diploma of 3 years .After 3 years wish to to do degree B.Des at IIT.
Q1) Will I fit into age criteria as I will be spending 1 extra year compared to 12th.
Q2) Will they consider Diploma as 12th equivalent as they mention eligibility criteria as 10 2.
Request guidence.

The candidate should have been born after October 1, 1997 if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born after October 1, 1992 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

By clearing JEE exam you will start from the first year rather than 2nd year as per other lateral entry schemes. Diploma holders are eligible to get admission for B.Des at IIT.

Age criteria for BDes at IIT is , candidates age should have the date of birth 1 October 1996.
Yes, Course diploma holder can join IIT.
