Am I eligible to join Indian Army after completion of diploma course? What would be the minimum eligibility criteria they will ask for? What should I do after diploma course to get prepared for the same? Can you please answer me soon?

The minimum educational qualification required to join in Indian Army is completion of 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board. To join in Indian Army, you need to appear in NDA examination which is conducted by UPSC twice a year for candidates who are interested to join in Indian Army/Navy/Air Force. Eligibility criteria required to appear in NDA examination is given below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have attained the minimum age of 16 1/2 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 19 years.

3. You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board.

4. You must be an Unmarried Male candidate

5. You must be Physically fit as per Physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification.

By satisfying the above mentioned eligibility criteria, you are eligible to appear in NDA examination and by qualifying NDA examination, you can join in Indian Army.

No, you are not eligible for Indian Army through NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam. NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army.

The candidate's who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Procedure for NDA exam:-

1.Written test
2.Physical test
3.Medical
4.Interview

Below I have mentioned the eligibility criteria required to join Indian Army.

Eligibility for Joining Indian army:

. You should be HS passed from a recognised University.

. Minimum marks should be 60% in both 10th as well as 12th.

. English should be one of the main subjects in your boards, i.e. in 10th & 12th and should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in it.

. You should be a citizen of India.

. You Should be unmarried at the time of applying for the exam.

. You must not have any Physical or mental disabilities.

. Your age should be in between 16.5 - 19 years

. Minimum height should be 157 cms

After completing diploma course, you are not eligible to apply for Indian Army, because minimum academic qualification to apply for this examination is that the candidate should have completed intermediate from a recognized school or equivalent qualification. So, you are not eligible to apply.

To join in Indian Army, you need to crack the NDA Exam and TES 10+2 Examination.

NDA Eligibility:

The candidate should have completed intermediate from a recognized school or equivalent qualification. The candidate must have attained the age of 16.5 years and must not have attained the 19 years. Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. Those who are studying in the final year of board examination may also apply.

TES 10+2 Eligibility:

The candidate should have completed intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects from a recognized school or equivalent qualification. The candidate must have secured at least 70% marks in aggregate. The candidate must have attained the age of 16.5 years and must not have attained the 19.5 years. Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.

I have completed my diploma and now i am doing B.Tech. I want to know wheather i will be eligible to join Indian Army in future after finishing B.Tech.
