Yes, diploma candidates are eligible for Indian Army through NDA exam.

Candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard are eligible for NDA exam. Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19 years.

Written examination will be divided into 2 parts-

Mathematics-300 marks.
General ability Test- 600 marks.

Total time duration for 2 papers is 300 mins

General Ability Test -

English 200 marks
General Knowledge 400 marks

Yes after completing your diploma in Civil Engineering you can join army through NDA exam which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

Exam Dates and Schedule

=> Notification of Examination Sept. - Oct. & May - June

=> Conduct of Examination March - April & Aug. - Sept.

=> Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Age limit

16 ½ to 19 ½ Years

Nationality:

You must either be:

A citizen of India, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A subject of Nepal, or

Yes diploma holder's may join Indian Army as a solder's (Siphai). They have to crack their selection procedure which include Physical & Psychological test after that candidate must have to passed a simple written exam.

For getting a reputed officer's post you need to complete your graduation after that you will be eligible for entry scheme's like CDS, UES, TGC, AFCAT, SSC,etc.
