Diploma or degree from Indian Institute of Alternative Medicines, Kolkata is Recognised or not?
UGC Declared Indian Institute of Alternative Medicines, 60, chowringe road, kolkata as a fake university even recently. It is a big institution with the affiliations, approvals from WB gov etc. Are the students who did their diploma/degree - ug and pg - allowed to practice officially the alternative medicine, if so what are the documentation / recognitions / provisions in vogue and how they can contribute to the health of the needy where the medical treatment does not reach the remotest of places in India;
Kindly throw light on this institution's status as on date with some supportive documentation/gov. orders in favour of it. Santosh, Vizag |

The institute is not approved by UGC for offering any medical courses. If you want a degree recognized by UGC and other authorities then don't go for any course from this institution.
Normally, you won't be allowed to practice as a doctor with degree from such institutions. It will be illegal even in West Bengal if central government notices. |
