Generally Phd course duration is 4years and sometimes extension for completing the procedure depends upon the guide.

Definitely,you can complete your Ph.D after MCA degree.

To take admission in those institute you should have the MCA degree with a valid GATE score in CS or IT or ECE.

Minimum Duration: 2 Years

Maximum Duration: 5 Years

From those institute you will get scholarship from the central Government up to 20,000/-per month.

Procedure :-

After M.C.A. if you want to pursue Ph.D. (Philosophy of Doctored) then at first you have to choose your favorite subject among all the subjects in you M.C.A. course. Then choose a professor or dean in your college or institute. Here you have to research regarding to this topic and submit the theory to your regarding professor or dean.

Duration :-

Generally it takes 3 years. But sometimes the duration varies between 3 years to 6 years.

I have completed MCA in 2002.I'm a gold medalist of Nagarjuna University. I've work experience of 2 yrs in a s/w company.Later, i had to leave my job as I've got kids...Now, I would like to pursue Ph.D.Please suggest the process of doing Ph.D and the subject that I'll've to choose.
