Re: Is diploma in mechanical engineering approved from AICTE or UGC?
Diploma in mechanical engineering is a technical course which should be approved by AICTE. UGC is concerned with the affiliation of universities and they don't have anything to do with courses.
A UGC approved university can offer diploma in mechanical engineering but they need separate AICTE approval also for offering the course. Also, this course should be in regular mode for AICTE approval. |

Re: Is diploma in mechanical engineering approved from AICTE or UGC?
The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering you are pursuing is approved by AICTE/UGC or not depends upon your college. If your college has recognised by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC) then, the Diploma course offered by your college will be approved by AICTE/UGC else it is not approved by AICTE/UGC. So, to know whether your college is approved by AICTE/UGC, you can visit your college official website or you can contact your college management for information regarding AICTE/UGC approval.
