Yes, Karnataka CET lateral entry is available for diploma holders for engineering. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) is an entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admission to undergraduate engineering courses in Karnataka. Diploma holders can also appear for the CET and can be admitted to the second year of engineering courses through lateral entry.

To be eligible for lateral entry through the CET, diploma holders must meet the following criteria:

* They must have a diploma in engineering from a recognized institution.
* They must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in their diploma.
* They must have passed the CET.

Once they have been admitted to an engineering college through lateral entry, students will be required to complete the remaining three years of the engineering degree program. They will also be required to take a bridge course in order to cover the material that they missed in the first two years of the program.

The lateral entry scheme is a great opportunity for diploma holders to complete their engineering degrees more quickly. It also allows them to gain access to the same resources and facilities as regular engineering students. If you are a diploma holder who is interested in pursuing an engineering degree, I encourage you to explore the lateral entry option.

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is an entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admission to various undergraduate professional courses in the state of Karnataka, including engineering.

The KCET lateral entry scheme for diploma holders into engineering was not available. The KCET primarily caters to regular admission for the first year of undergraduate courses.

For lateral entry into engineering programs, the most common entrance exam in Karnataka is the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) conducted by KEA. The DCET allows diploma holders to directly enter the second year (third semester) of engineering programs in various colleges affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in Karnataka.

To check the official website of the Karnataka Examination Authority or contact them directly for the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding the KCET lateral entry for diploma holders into engineering.

Karnataka CET (Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admission to various undergraduate programs in engineering, medical, dental, and other professional courses in colleges across Karnataka.

Lateral entry for diploma holders in engineering, Karnataka CET offers a separate entrance exam called "DCET" (Diploma Common Entrance Test). DCET is specifically designed for diploma holders seeking lateral entry admission to the second year (third semester) of engineering courses in colleges affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in Karnataka.

Here are some key points about Karnataka CET lateral entry for diploma holders in engineering:

1. Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for DCET, diploma holders must have completed a three-year diploma program in the relevant field of engineering/technology from a recognized institution in Karnataka. They should have obtained a minimum aggregate percentage in the diploma examination as specified by the KEA.

2. Application Process: The KEA releases the DCET notification on its official website, usually in the months of May or June. Diploma holders interested in lateral entry must apply online within the specified application period. The application process involves filling out the application form, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee.

3. Exam Pattern: DCET is a pen-and-paper-based entrance exam. It consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and relevant engineering disciplines. The duration of the exam is three hours, and the paper is usually of 180 marks.

4. Syllabus: The syllabus for DCET is based on the diploma-level curriculum of the relevant engineering discipline. It covers topics from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and engineering subjects like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, etc.

5. Counseling and Seat Allotment: After the DCET results are announced, the KEA conducts a centralized counseling process for eligible candidates. Based on their ranks and preferences, candidates are called for counseling and seat allotment. The counseling process involves document verification, choice filling, and seat allocation based on merit and availability of seats.
