Re: Mechanical diploma engineer can do BTech from civil engineering or not?
Yes, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering can do a BTech in Civil Engineering. There are many engineering colleges in the country that offer direct 2nd-year lateral entry in BTech courses to diploma holder students. Switching your career according to your wish is not bad and one must do what they are more passionate about. With a diploma in engineering, you will get admission to a second-year engineering degree course only. In college, if there is a vacant slot for your chosen branch then the college may permit the change without any issue.
