I am in Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. I am studying in final semester. I want to know what is better for me? What can I choose Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering? Can you suggest me please.

It is advisable to study BTech Mechanical Engineering after completion of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering course. It is not recommended to study BTech Civil Engineering after completion of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates can join the BTech Mechanical Engineering by appearing lateral entry entrance examination. Candidates are admitted directly to the second year of the four years BTech course through lateral entry mode. Duration of the course is only three years. Therefore, candidates can study BTech Mechanical Engineering after completion of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

It is better to pursue B.Tech Mechanical Engineering course after completion of your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. By pursuing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering course, you can improve your subject knowledge in the field of Mechanical Engineering as you have completed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering course. Being a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering, you are eligible to get direct admission in second year of four years B.Tech Mechanical Engineering course through lateral entry admission process.
