Possibility to study B.Tech in any AICTE approved college for Diploma Mechanical Engineer of CIDC, Assam?


Sir,
I have passed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from CIDC, Assam. Now can I get admission in B.Tech in any AICTE approved college? Please reply as soon as possible.

Yes of cause you are allowed to get admission in b.tech course in any AICTE approved colleges after completion of diploma in any trade. You can use LEET entry scheme. LEET stands for Lateral Entry Engineering Test.

This entry scheme is for diploma holders to join b.tech course. Using this scheme you will get admission in 2nd year of engineering course directly.

You need to clear LEET entrance exam for using this scheme. Your rank in entrance exam will decide that which college will you get in counselling.

Once result out then you need to compete in counselling to get a seat in any engineering college. You can also visit to college individually for internal counselling.
