Re: educational qualification for group1 and group2 exam?
As far as educational qualification for TNPSC is concerned, both group I,II requires any bachelor's degree from a recognised university alone. But there is post for which engineers are considered which is the post of Assistant Inspector of Labour. At the same time, few posts requires a bachelor degree in commerce or economics alone. So if you are interested in applying for group I,II exam then you can apply for the following post in CSSE-I:
Sub registrar grade-II, municipal commissioner grade-II, assisstant section officer in TNPSC, assisstant inspector of labour, senior inspector of co-operative societies, audit assisstant in highways department, assisstants in the following departments of commercial taxes department, assisstants in TNPSC, and for all the posts in group-I except a few posts that requires a B.L. degree. For more information regarding eligibility and other doubts, please visit, http://www.tnpsc.gov.in/Notifications/257_not_eng_grp2k11.pdf http://www.tnpsc.gov.in/Notifications/258_not_eng_csse12k11.pdf |

Re: educational qualification for group1 and group2 exam?
Educational qualification varies from post to post but your almost eligible for many of the posts in Group exams.Your only eligible for posts like Executive Engineer and other posts of such kind.
In Group 1 the majority of the posts are Deputy Collector,Deputy Superintendent of Police,Assistant Commissioner,District Registrar,Assistant Director of rural Development department,Executive Engineer,Revenue Officer..etc In Group 2 majority of the posts are Deputy Magistrate,Junior Engineer,Sub-Registrar and other posts of such kind. The pay in the Group 1 exams will be definitely higher compared to the Group 2 exam. The pay varies from post to post. Here am attaching a file so that you get an idea about the qualification details required for various posts. |

Re: educational qualification for group1 and group2 exam?
every degree holder is eligible for writing the groups
its better u write it in 3rd year because even though u are unable to crack it u will get an experience which will help u face the exam next time even better being the govt. sector i think the percentage they ask may be very less so every degree holder can apply for it |

Re: educational qualification for group1 and group2 exam?
Hi dear,
You have'nt mentioned for which entrance you are appearing for gruop-1 & 2. I guess you are talking about TNPSC. If yes then you are eligible for both gruop-1 & 2. Group - 1 consists of mainly executive posts like executive engineer,deputy-collector,director etc. Group-2 consists of mainly posts like junior engineer, municiple commissioner,deputy-megistrate etc. So,gruop-1 will best suits you as you are an engineer, not only in respect of post but also in respect of pay and allowance. Date for availability of applications for gruop-2 are over. But for gruop-1 application is available online at tnpsc's official website- http://tnpsconline.tn.nic.in last date is 27.01.2010 Thanks |
