I think, BITS Pilani is a good college, and it is better than VIT.
Placement wise as well as Academics wise Bits Pilani is the best colleges. So, i will suggest you just go for Bits Pilani. But, its your own decision. So please go for according to your choice. Both the colleges are good, but Bits are better option than VIT.......... |

Alright! After going through all the above threads, i just want to say that just give your opinion about the college, don't try to be smart and say anything bullshit about the other college. Pls. be sensible if you are among the best engg. college of india. People here seek advice, so advice them properly.
In my opinion as of now BITS Pilani is really a very good college in all aspects, its just that one need to consider his/her future goals while taking admission. On the other hand, VIT, Vellore is one of the reputed and good engineering college, only known for B.Tech course. So, at this time just think in terms of getting better knowledge and research facilities, not the job. And, people who made stupid comments about any college are biggest stupid and don't deserve to be an Engineer, Better they stop advicing ppl. Thanks |

hi dear,
Just to all those saying MSc is useless, in the BITS MSc program, you get an engineering degree MSc. Atlases research before you act like experts. And the placements are on the basis of you BE degree only. But BITSians hardly get placed through Campus interviews. Most of them receive job offers after their Practise School. And before you say anything about the placements, Amazon recently recruited an MSc students at a package of over 14lpa. thanks |

BITS pilani is 100 times better than Vit. If you can score 9.2+ Cgpa you can get into BE . But of course you have to work hard.Placements and Training are no tension .Just enjoy.Bits Pilani is certainly the best choice. |

Hi dear,
Thee should not be any doubt of these two colleges because both the colleges are good. You can do the dual courses from any of these institute but the major thing is that you should do the MBA as your another course . It will help you in the future for better scope in the corporate sector. So i would suggest you to go for the MBA rather then MSc. And if you talk about the institute then both of them are good, think and choose any one. Thanks |

Well. I'm from BITS Pilani.
2007 Batch. Got into MSc Maths. You "definitely" get an engineering degree along. I opted for Computer Science. For all those worrying about placements, note that Infosys / Cognizant / TCS etc are put under "bus companies" in the campus, meaning, mass recruiters and no one opts for that job unless you screwed ypu collehe life big time (year backs plus abysmally low cgpa ... say 4/10). I got placed in Epic Systems. 42.5 lpa (85000 US Dollars). 4 of us did. I have friends who are from Goa campus and got placed in Amazon (16.5 lpa) and other companies like Nvidia, Morgan Stanley, Arista etc (all of which offer 10 lpa ) The avergae pay for Computer Science / Information Systems here for the first semester of this year is 6.8 lpa. Yeah, thats the "avergae". And you dont have "reservations" and "quotas" here. Pure talent. If you have it, you are in. Else, you aren't. Frankly speaking, you can compare BITS only to IITs (it ranks higher than all new IITs and 2-3 old IITs consistently). Comparing it with VIT was the biggest damn joke I've come across in a while. Sorry, VIT-ians if you are viewing. But facts are facts. No offence meant. Peace ! |
