dear friend, there are no any limitation for appearing in GATE exam.
any candidate can appear any no. of times in GATE.
But the validity of GATE score is only for two year, means any candidate which have valid GATE score card then he/she take admission within 2 years only.

There is no way for writing the GATE exam three times so it is better to use these two attempts.

there is no restriction on number of attempts in gate exam.
you can give it any number of times. but i must say that it is not a big deal to give it again and again. you must give it with such good prepapration that you get admission in a good college.

Yes you can obviously write GATE exam many times you want as there is no age limits in giving GATE exam. So, don't be tensed at that you can give GATE exam for only two times. But whatever rank you will get that will be valid for two years and within this two years you can admit into M.Tech for post-graduates.

You can write gate paper any number of times right from the pre final year.
But the score is valid for two year.
Once in year 2009 it is valid for 1 year.

In july, 2011 i will complete my b-tech,bt i have given gate exam 2 times,in 2010 and 2011,some one said to me gate can be attempted just two times.I didnt know this.I want to give again gate exam because i was not sensior in previous attempt,i was take lightly to remove my fearness.So please clear my doubt.

There is no such rules in giving GATE exam.

You can give it as many times as you want.

But one GATE card will be valid for 2 years.

And the college will also check the no. of attempts made by you.

So be careful on that and you also have to think about your age.

Of course you can write GATE exam more than 2 times .Because there is no limitation on the number of permissible attempts and no age limitation so you can go for it .
Next year GATE will be conducted on = 12/2/2012
So there is not enough time in your hand , start your preparation .

ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE EXAMINATION


1)Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

2)Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

3)Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

4)A Student in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.

5)A Student in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

6)A Student with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.
