There is no restriction on the number of attempts allowed to appear in GATE examination. You can attempt as many times as you wish since, there is no restriction on the number of attempts allowed to appear in GATE examination. Any category candidate (OC/ OBC/ SC/ ST) can appear any number of times in GATE examination.

The GATE score valid is period of Three years. With the help of GATE score, you can get admission in M.Tech course in Indian institutes and many companies recruit candidates who have good GATE score.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

This exam is conducted for M.Tech and Ph.D admission and also for the recruitment by PSU (Public Sector Unit)companies.

If you have bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then you are eligible for GATE exam.

There is no percentage marks limit in B.Tech degree. There are no restriction for the number of attempts in GATE exam. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years. GATE score card is valid for two years.

There is no restriction on Number of attempts,Age limit and Graduation marks for GATE Exam.
One can appear as long as possible but there is age limit for PSU jobs through GATE and also in admission for M.tech for some institutes.
So even though GATE does not limits you in appearing but you must try to clear the exam with good score at the earliest.
The GATE scorecard is valid for 3years from GATE 2015.Earlier it was valid for 2years only.
