I want to do correspondence MCA .Plz tel me which university is best and for better job opportunity which practical courses should be done with correspondence MCA.

yea of course it valuable. it's a good decision to do MCA and job at a time. because study will give you degree and work will give you experience. so you will get better opportunity than if you do only MCA. IGNOU is a very good university obviously you can take admission here for correspondence MCA.

Hi, I have got the results for my tee from ignou mca 1st sem. Although, I worked very hard, i flunked inc and the paper was so easy. i had attempted the complete paper/ i want to switch to ignou mdu rohtak. is it a nice university.

I'm Programmer in TCS distance education and correspondance courses are not valid in TCS do regular and full time MCA guys..........

No, it is not the truth .The main thing is knowledge,if you have knowledge then there is no space of limitations.
It is true that companies some companies like TCS ,who recruits only full time freshers.
But I think you have to understand one think first that the correspondence course is only for those who are employed . So after a relevant job experience if you can do Correspondence MCA ,it will surely enhance your carrier.

Companies like Wipro,Infosys takes IGNU Correspondence students with relevant experience .

IGNOU is a very good university with a very high class upgraded syllabus. I am an MCA from there and working in govt sector. But university is not commercial like today's educational shops so they dont have very effective placement cells. They will give you the enough oppertunity to be a better warrior and then your chance.
You need not to pay more than the fees and in our country education is a paid service with no guarantee and i feel IGNOU is doing its job and not a good player of this market rather providing good education.
Content and quality rich than any other university, Contents in form of books , CDs, and radio and Sattellite TV channels.
You need to attend classes even and attendance must be more than 75% to take the exam. In my view this is a kind of affordable regular education in distant mode.
Rest our country is running on numbers which a student gains only in his final exam no matter which board he belongs to. And companies are following the criteria. I am working with many good guys with college of different level but you cant guess while you know them well about their knowledge whether which college they belong to.
Ultimately it depends on student otherwise all the students of a big schools will top and small will fail.

hi myself , i have done bca and pursuing mca from ignou from 2005 but now i'm very stuck between this ignou and my careers... now .... m very confused bcz... whenever i go for job in mnc company they will treat as a illitreate person ... they tell me about my 6 years gap between 5 to 011 bcz i hve done my bca in 2011 so they ask me how could u say that u hve complete ur bca in 6yr... even m pursuing in mca also and only 1 exam is due...
wt can i do... ignou such a time pass and destroy ur career... don't enrrolled in this university... there are no equality for student... plz don't waste ur valuable time plz plz....

I have completed my degree BIT from Manipal University in 2002(which is approved by DEC), i also having 5 yrs of exp in banking industry, but now want to try in IT companies, kindly confirm wheather these IT companies will accept my degree

Dear Friend,

You have wrong information that MCA degree of IGNOU is not valuable.

IGNOU is a reputed and govt recognized Institution and its degree is as valuable as any other's good institution's degree.

You can join IGNOU for your higher education with out any hesitation and after completing the course you will not find any difficulty in finding a good job as many IT companies provides very good job to the IGNOU MCA degree holders.

IGNOU is the largest and best distance learning university of the world. its MBA & MCA degrees are recoughnized by AICTE as well as all other universities of world.

So you will not have any problem to face in any sector of Government Jobs or higher study, as a IGNOU student.

When it comes to matter of quality, all of us know how it is difficult to pass from ignou MCA. There is no doubt that IGNOU maintains the best quality in study among all universities.

In case of Job in IT companies, IT totally depends on thje Company HR wether to accept IGNOU MCA or not.

By the way Most of companies aye accepting them.

Remember, IF you have the skill to grow up, then nothing can stop you from a bright career. Then from which university you belongs to may be....

from my personal experience, TCS and Infosys does not consider the correspondence/distance education degrees.. Dont be having false hopes that they recognise these degrees.

TCS & Infosys do not give any value to IGNOU degree because it is correspondance. I was denied entry for an interview based on this fact by both the company HR personnal despite being an MCA & MBA from IGNOU. There are plenty of other good MNCs that accept it so i wonder why not these two :(?

Hey, Im pursuing BCA from IP university.. and is in 6th semester.. after this I want to do MCA from IGNOU.
But my finals will be in May and the result will come out in June-july.
The admission in Ignou wil be closed till then.
In this case I have to wait till next year to enroll in Mca program??

I have done my MCA from IGNOU.
Its not valid in TCS, Infosys and wipro as far as I know as I worked Infosys and TCS.

I could say for Govt jobs I ignou MCA is good, but for indian based IT industries won't consider Ignou.

does anyone university allows a person to do mca ( correspondence) if he has done 3 years of diploma in IT

Yes. Whatever you mentioned, that is exactly right. Many of the colleges do not maintain good academic standards for the candidates who join MCA course.

Due to this, the candidates will not get enough subject knowledge that results in not getting of job.

There will be good career scope for the candidates soon after the completion of MCA course.

But the thing is the candidate should have done MCA course from a top institution and the candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% of marks in all the academic levels.

As you have completed your Graduation, I suggest you to look for the job opportunities on the basis of your Graduation.

If you get job opportunity in any good company, try to opt for the same and then do MCA course from IGNOU which is one of the top university in distance learning.

If you want to do MCA course in regular mode, then I suggest you to have good preparation for NIMCET Exam.

By cracking NIMCET Exam, you can get admission for this course in any of the NITs in India.

Having completed MCA course in NITs, you will be strong enough in subject knowledge and you will get the job opportunity through campus placements itself.

I do not agree with most of you. I have done MCA from IGNOU and working in an IT company as well. but Now a days most of the top IT companies are not considering the candidates those have done MCA from IGNOU. I tried Accenture, TCS , Wipro and some more.. but they rejected my CV only because I have done my MCA from IGNOU. So be careful..

Of course the correspondence degree is valuable from a recognized university. The basic eligibility criteria for the MCA course is to have a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

As you have completed your bachelor degree course as BCA also you have scored 70% marks in your aggregate so there is no doubt definitely you can do this course.

I have done bsc(bioscience)from CU with PCMB combination in 10 2. Want to pursue MCA from IGNOU.What job will I get after completing it and in which field ? Certificate will be valid for MNCS and abroad jobs?
