The ca cpt exam held in the month of december every year. But i would like to tell you the online exam is quite tough as compared to the offline. If you appear for online you get only 1min for each question,if you missed the question you can go to the previous question. But in the offline mode you can take your time for each questions so it is quite convenient.

Date of online CPT exan --22nd and 23rd August, 2009, 26th and 27th September, 2009, 24th and 25th October, 2009, 21st and 22nd November, 2009.

The next Common Proficiency Test (CPT) ( Paper-Pencil Mode) of the Institute will be held on 13th December, 2009

The Information brochure containing Common Proficiency Test application form will also be available in the Regional and Branch Offices of the Institute and can be obtained there from on cash payment on or from 6th October, 2009 to 27th October, 2009.

The Closing Dates for Online Submission of Exam Application Form for December 2011 CPT Exam is 28th October, 2011. No New Registrations will be accepted after 17.30 hours (IST) of 28th October, 2011.now they wont accept the registration the due date was over.

The last date for registration to CA CPT Course is around Mar 31, 2012.
Those who register before this date, will be eligible to appear in CPT Exams to be held in the month of Jun 17, 2012.

The eligibility for this would be 10+2 passed or those undergoing 10+2 (just appeared exams in Mar 2012).

Registration for the CA CPT Course can be done all throughout the year. There is no such thing as a last date for registration.

A student would be able to appear at the first examination falling 2 months after the date of registration. As such, the only requirement for a student to be eligible to appear at a specified examination is that this minimum course duration should have elapsed after registration.

Taking the minimum course duration into consideration, the following dates can be considered to be cut-off dates for registration for enabling a student to appear at the noted examination.
