What's the marking system in IGNOU? What's meant by A,B,C,D?

I have appeared in p.g. diploma in international business through ignou.. i have given exam of each subject. but when result come... there is 'NC' marked in one paper.. then what is the meaning of 'nc'. how is could be possible as i have given all the papers ? plz. guide

I am Manjeet doing MBA(MP) .In first sem I got E grde in MP 07 ,then I reappered in 3rd sem and it is showing A in assignment and E in term end theory and result is not completed.My result is pending or still showing last sem result.email [email protected]

Letter grades are as follows:
A - Excellent
B - Very Good
C - Good
D - Satisfactory
E - Un Satisfactory i.e, Fail
