Staff Selection Commission recruits candidates for all Group B positions for different ministries and departments functioning under the control of the Indian Government and also for the attached offices and subordinate offices of these government departments. However, the pay scale for positions for which recruitment is made by Staff Selection Commission would not exceed Rs.10500. Staff Selection Commission is planning to recruit candidates for the position of Junior Engineering in Civil and Mechanical disciplines to work for the Central Water Commission and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the commission in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 105, which is divided among the two positions as follows

• Junior Engineer (Civil) – 82

• Junior Engineer (Mechanical) - 23

Reservations are applicable according to the Government orders and selected candidates will be required to serve anywhere in India. The positions have been identified as suitable for candidates with disabilities.

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Junior Engineer in Staff Selection Commission will be coming under the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 plus Grade pay of Rs.4200.

Eligibility requirements:

Qualification for both positions: Candidates should be diploma holders or degree holders in civil or mechanical engineering from a recognized institution or university.

Age: To apply for the position of Junior Engineer, candidates must not be more than 32 years of age. Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be shortlisted for interview to the position of Junior Engineer in CWC on the basis of their performance in written examination to be conducted by SSC. It is a combined All India Open Examination planned to be held on 08th of April 2012.
