i dont know anything about fci, but about bank assistant i have some idea since i am workinf for sbi. bank job has alot pressue, like if u r sitting in cash counter ( almost all new recruitte will be sitting in cash) there are chances to loose the amount and in turn you have to bear that lose. there are people in bank who did not loose not even a paise in their entier carier, but there are people who lost even in lakhs................otherwise its a good job as there is no corruption or political pressure, but think twice as it may be difficult for u to work in such condition at the end of ur carier, if fci job profile is good plz choose that..............suggestion from a patriot

Thank you, Friend...and its God's bless for not doing anything wrong so far in your career under any kind of pressure whatsoever for not losing your precious salary you are getting now. But, people have some different opinion about FCI as you can read in this string.
Any Ex-Serviceman who is working in FCI in AG-III posts in Depot cadre can please guide me.

I have been selected in AG-III (Depot) North Zone FCI. The results were out 01 MONTH back. I am an Ex-Serviceman, so is there any pay protection in FCI as there is already pay protection in other PSUs sectors like banks. I am also in FCI in Accounts Cadre, joined in 2009. My Gross Salary is around 21000 and the NET Salary comes to around 19000. I don't think that it's too bad.

I have joined FCI in 2009 in Accounts cadre(AG III), now my Gross salary is 21000 and the net comes to around 20000. So I think the salary is okay.

The salary is offered in hand to FCI category III Posts is 9300 to 22940.
for all types means for General,Accounts,godown belongs to category III will get 9300 to 22940 .
the basic salary of FCI in category 3 post are as follows
Starting salary 9300
40% DA 3720
20% HRA 1860
total 14880
many other allowances also provieded by these company they are given department wise
your gross salary will be b/w 14880

Is there any Grade pay. In other jobs we get Grade pay of Rs 4200 for Group C post.

please don't misguide the innocent you are not selected in fci asst grade iii because first of all the first sentence you wrote on the post is grammatically incorrect and second, the basic for fci is not 9300 you don't know anything about a job the basic is grade pay plus basic that comes to 9300 + 4200 that is 13500 and plus allowances so basic is 13500 and other benefits the salary won't come to 16k buddy

I M serving in Defence and passed main exam of ssc FCI Assistant grade 3 general. My computer proficiency test is being held on 23 Oct 2013. But I want to know that the fixation of pay for Ex-servicemen is Separate or common as fresher. If any body can help, pl reply soon.

I didn't expect such less salary from govt. even a peon, driver etc. are getting 30,00k per month in other govt. dept. Today salary matters more .How can they are giving less salary than other govt. dept.
