Normally there wont be any entrance exam. Your 12th score will be important in this case. You will need to fill in forms of various colleges and universities. Based on Merit you can secure admission. If you have a score above 70% in the science subjects securing admission should not be a problem.

Re: Admission procedure for B.Sc(IT) after 12th standard?
dear friend,
u should know that unlike B.E and medicine courses B.Sc falls under the sciences' category and generally there is no councilling on a wide state level basis. u should procure the admission form for the course from the colleges where it is offered and attend the coucillings separately. choose the best college in ur region for better placement and oppurtunities scopes!! regards,,,... |

Re: Admission procedure for B.Sc(IT) after 12th standard?
Dear Friend
B.Sc.(IT) is a 3 year degree course. The eligibility criteria for admission to this course is 10+2 in Science(maths.). Basically this course is taught in private colleges and in the government colleges of universities present in the state. There is some negative points in this course. One: You will get problems in getting a job. Two: Even after M.Sc. you will find the problem continued. The above two lines are not written to discourage you. It just mean that everyone one don't get a job and most of those who get one they get job of low salary or call center or BPO jobs. It would be better to do B.Tech. if you want to go in technical field. If you have money problem then you should go for B.Com./B.A.(Economics) and work hard at your home for C.A. and MBA. You will save money what you will spent in B.Sc.(IT) and also if you do preparation very well for CAT/MAT you will surely get a good college for MBA. Think twice before selecting your career path. |

It is not that tough to get an admission in a Degree college
some colleges just see your previous year results and give you the admission and some colleges will conduct exam like entrance test which are not that tough you can easily score good in this regard and get a seat in the top Degree college just go to nearby degree college and enquire about it there is no special way other than this if you want any details about this i can provide you post in the same thread Regards ~aditya~ |

Re: Admission procedure for B.Sc(IT) after 12th standard?
Hello,
After passing 12th you have to apply in various colleges for B.Sc(graduation). Many colleges has their own cutoff marks for different stream. So before applying in any colleges you have to check the cutoff. If you fulfill the cutoff then you can apply in that college. However some of good colleges conduct their own admission test after applying form. For admission in B.Sc IT you have to pass 12th having computer science as a main subject and the aggregate percentage would be 60%. |
