After BBA can I give IPS entrance exam? When is the mains exam held?
i am doing bba next year in july my bba is completed i want know that next year can i give ips exam that means that i give prelim exam and when the mains exam are held on that time i get my result for 3rd year so pls give my ans pls

Dear Friend
There is no examination named IPS examination. IPS stands for Indian Police Services. Those who qualify CIVIL SERVICES examination are appointed to various services of Govt. of India, according to their choice and rank in the exam. You can apply for the civil cervices examination in the year 2012. About the exam: The Civil Service examination is conducted every year by UPSC. The whole examination comprises of two stages. 1. Preliminary Examination This is also called Civil Services Aptitude Test and is common test for all applicants. This cotains questions from General studies(History, Geography, Politics, Economics and social development, General Science) English Mathematical Aptitude etc. 2. Main Exam and Interview Those who qualify Preliminary exam are called for Main exam and on the basis of marks in Main exam, candidates are called for Interview. The total marks of Main exam and Interviw are sum up to prepare final result. The Main examination contains following papers. 1. Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks) 2. English Qualifying Paper (300 marks) 3. General Essay type paper (200 marks) 4. General Studies (Paper-I & II 300 marks each) 5. Optional subject-I(Paper-I & II 300 marks each) 6. Optional subject-II(Paper-I&II 300 marks each) The subject for optional paper are as under. You can choose any two of them. The choice is completely yours. Agriculture Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Anthropology Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Commerce and Accountancy Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Geology History Law Management Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science and International Relations Psychology Public Administration Sociology Statistics Zoology But you can't choose any one of the following combinations. - Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration; - Commerce & Accountancy and Management; - Anthropology and Sociology; - Mathematics and Statistics; - Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science. - Management and Public Administration; - Any two engineering subjects - Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science. You can get the syllabus of the exam from www.upsc.gov.in |

yes, next year you can give IPS entrance exam after your BBA course. Educational qualification required is A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Age criteria: Minimum: 20 Years Maximum: 30 Years. for general category. candidate must be either - (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1 st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. all the best............ |

Eligibility for IAS exam
Qualification : - bachelor degree from reconized university in any discipline Age Limit : - 21 to 30 years for general - 21 to 33 years for OBC - 22 to 35 years for for ST/SC/Handicap No of Attempts : - 4 for general - 7 for OBC - no limit for ST/SC/Handicap Examination : - Preliminary: Objective , In Ist week of may 1. Those candiadte have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam. But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate. In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candiadte is 3years and for SC/ST candiadte is 5 years. The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candiadte is Unlimited. For OBC candiadte it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years. Also you must be citizen of India.
