Hi dear,
Introduction
The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative civil service of the executive branch of the Government of the Republic of India.

The officers of the IAS play a major role in managing the bureaucracy of both the Union Government (Central Government) and the state governments, with its officers holding strategic posts across the country. It is one of the three All India Services.

UPSC Entrance examination

The Civil Services Examination is used for recruitment for many Indian administrative bodies. Civil Service Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. It has three stages Preliminary Exam, a Main exam, and an interview.

Now there will be no optional subjects in the preliminary examination. Instead there will be a second paper which will be common for all candidates. It will check the administrative aptitude of candidates-hence its name - the Civil Service Aptitude Test [CSAT].It comprises of Aptitude, General Mathematics,Comprehensive English, etc.

Academic Eligibility

A degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be a Deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification.

Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the qualifying examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination.

Candidates with professional and technical qualifications recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees.

Candidates who have passed the final year of MBBS or any Medical Examination but are yet to complete the internship can also appear for the Main Examination.

UPSC exams demand graduation from a recognised university. So,it is not possible to appear for the same after 12th.You need to wait till your graduation completes.

Thanks

He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination.

UPSC conduct CIVILSERVICE exam for top service like IAS,IPS,IFS and for other government jobs.Even this onwards the pattern of exam also changed as it doesnot have any special subject and the paper will be same for all the candidates.

For IAS, one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

The selection pattern will be by
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test
- Civil Services Main examination
-Interview.

Here is the eligibility criteria for IAS exam.

Academic qualification :
-One should be a graduate from a recognized university.

Age criteria :
One should be in the age group of 21-30 years (General)
For OBC candidates : 21-33 years
For SC/ST candidates : 21-35 years .

Maximum number of attempts :
For General : Maximum of 4 attempts
For OBC : Maximum of 7 attempts
For SC/ST : No limit on number of attempts.

So, I would suggest you to complete your graduation first with good percentage of marks.

By the time you complete your graduation, be good enough in General knowledge which will be the major focus in CSAT exam.

to become IAS officer you have to appear in Indian civil service examination. the educational qualification requires for civil service examination is candidate should have minimum of graduation degree in any discipline from any recognised university. also the age of the candidate must be in between 21 to 30 for general category and relaxation is there for reserved category.

so after completion of 12th you have to take admission in graduation in any subject. for this you may take admission in a science subject in general B.Sc or you may go for other study like engineering, BCA, Medical etc. after 3 years or 4 years completion of graduation you have to appear in civil service preliminary examination. if you can clear the preliminary examination then you have to appear in civil service main examination. after clearing main examination you may be selected for IAS officer.

so now you have to concentrate on your study. you have to study so many subject to give best in the examination. after completion of your graduation think about the civil service examination.

best of luck.

First you have to clear 12th and do your graduation.
There is no minimum requirement in graduation, and graduation can be done in any field.

Hello,
For appearing into the IAS exam you must need to be a graduate from any recognized university. So after 12th board you have to apply for graduation. However you can do your graduation in any discipline regarding science, commerce or arts.
After completion of graduation you can apply for the IAS exam conducted by upsc.
The age limit will be 21 to 30 years.
The number of attempt will be 4 for general candidate, 7 for OBC and no limit for SC/ST.

For IAS one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)

The selection procedure will be by
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview.

In order to appear for IAS, one should have completed his graduation in any of the discipline from a recognized university.

One should be in the age group of 21-30 years.

So still plenty of time is there in your hands.

First try to finish your bachelors degree with good percentage of marks and in the mean time be good enough in aptitude and general awareness (current affairs) which will be mainly focussed in CSAT.
