hello sir i'm a electrical engg. student. I want to do IES. Please tell me all the neccassory details regarding this test. Moreover i'm at the age of 28 now so also tell me the age relaxation criteria

yes you can appear for ies. but before that you need graduation degree

IES means indian economic service.for this you need a post graduate degree in economics/applied economics/business economics/econometrics.the fees is Rs.100 and you can avail the facility of fee remission if you are a sc/ st/ ph.the age is between 21-30 years and the relaxation is for sc/ st /obcs.

age limit for ies is 21-30 years for general candidates and for obc 3 years is relaxation and for sc/sc 5 years is relaxed.
since your age is 28, you are eligible but you must pass or must be an appearing candidate to write the exam.

Hello...well its good that you want to appear for IES exam.Yes you can appear for the exam as the minimum age limit is between 21-30 years.Since its an entrance exam for recruitment of engineers in government companies therefore its an highly reputed job and its conducted by UPSC board.Its a good decision that you have made.

i m serving with indian army since 2007. will i get any age benefit for appearing in IAS exam???

Indian Engineering Service (IES) exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.
This exam is conducted in the two step.
1. Preliminary exam.
2. Main exam.
Some important information for IES exam is given below:
A) Eligibility Criteria:
1. A candidate must have a engineering degree from a recognize university in the discipline of electrical, electronics, civil, mechanical engineering.
2. The final year student of engineering are also eligible for this exam.
B) Age Criteria:
1. for general category the age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of filling the form.
2. For SC/ST student the upper age relaxation is 5 years.
3. For OBC student the upper age relaxation is 3 years and for PD candidate the upper age relaxation is 10 years.

Age limit for IES:

• 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, in which a candidate is appearing.
• Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.

IES indian engineering services ....this exam is conducted by UPSC
you must have engineering degree ..and age in between 21-30 ..
you go and study hard read your all core paper seriously
and write the exam there are 4 main engineering branch have good chance to crack the IES
civil,ME,ECE,electrical..

Eligibility For IES Exams

In order to appear for the UPSC IES(Indian Engineering Service) exam..the candidates must fulfill the following details :-

1) You should be a B.Tech degree holder or in the final year of your B.Tech in any of the following streams

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering
Electrical Engineering

2) You should be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

The maximum number of attempts permitted for the general category is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

Currently,if you are a B.Tech degree holder then you can surely appear for the IES exam..

If you are 28 years old then you are absolutely eligible for IES entrance exam on the basis of age eligibility.
