Re: Am I eligible for any company after scoring 40% marks in 10th, 61% in diploma and 63% in B.Tech
I would have been able to help you but since you did not mention the stream in which you completed B.Tech, it would be little difficult for me to be specific. Yes, your marks in 10th are well below par for various companies. This is the reason why you are not eligible for campus placement and perhaps not eligible to work for top companies at all.
The companies not only look for candidate's performance in B.Tech but evaluate the overall academic performance. Therefore your marks in 10th, 12th are as important as marks in the engineering course. This is the reason why you are facing the trouble. For example lets say that you have completed B.Tech in Computer Science. Now to apply for job in Infosys, you need to have 60 percent in 10th, 60 percent in 12th and 65 percent in B.Tech. Candidates who manages to meet the first two requirements could get 5 percent relaxation for B.Tech percentage criteria. Similarly a company like HCL only hires a candidate who managed to maintain 65 percent marks throughout the academic career. IBM on the other hand want candidate to score 65 percent in 10th and 12th while 70 percent in B.Tech. This is an example to tell you why MNC may not accept you for the job. Now it truly does not mean that you would not get any job at all. The SME which means Small Medium Enterprise are more flexible in their requirements. You would certainly able to find a job in such companies. Although I should mention that pay would not be as good as the MNC. Another option which is always opened for you is Public Sector Undertaking jobs. Since you have completed B.Tech, PSU is a good option. All you need is 60 percent marks in B.Tech and a valid GATE score to apply for PSU job. Some PSU companies include: NALCO BHEL IOC HPCL GAIL BEL MTNL BSNL ISRO NTPC DRDO |

Re: Am I eligible for any company after scoring 40% marks in 10th, 61% in diploma and 63% in B.Tech
Hello,
Yes, there are many MNCs are there which did not consider 10th marks, they only demand for B.Tech marks that is 60% without any backlogs. But you have not include your branch in engineering which you have completed so this is very difficult to suggest the name of the company. However, you can apply any company from your subject. Good luck..! |

As your 10th and 12th as well as b.tech percentage are not that good so you may be devoid of some good companies. But this is not the end . There are many companies which take freshers through the GATE scores. So this is a nice option for you to get into good companies.
