Hello everyone, I am 20 years and 11 months old. I want to apply for the UPSC Civil Service exams. At this age I am eligible to apply for such recruitment exams? Kindly help me to know about this asap.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing in the final year of the bachelor degree course.

The age limit to appear for Civil Service Examination is 21-32 years. The age will be as on 01st August of year of appearing for the examination.

Examination is conducted in three stages. For more information about the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

To eligible for appearing in Civil Services Examination held by UPSC, the minimum age required is 21 years as on the 1st August of the year of examination. Also, the upper age limit for appearing in the same examination is 32 years in case of General category candidates. Age relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category as per the government norms.

So, being 20 years and 11 months old, you are not eligible to apply for the Civil Services examination.

Age limit for UPSC civil service exam-
* Must have attained 21 years of age but should not be more than 32 years.
* Must not be born earlier than August 2, 1987 & not later than August 1, 1998.

To be eligible for UPSC Civil Services Exam, you must be eligible for it.

Academic Qualifications required

• Passed/Completed graduation in any stream from a recognized University.
• Final year appearing candidates can also apply.

Age required

1. Minimum age required is 21 years
2. Upper age limit varies as per categories

• General: 32 years
• OBC: 35 years
• Economically Weaker Sections: 32 years
• SC/ST: 37 years
• PwD: 42 years

After 2 months, you will satisfy age criteria required for UPSC Civil Services but for satisfying academic qualification criteria, you must enroll in graduation course in any stream. While pursuing final year of graduation, you can apply for UPSC Civil Services Exam.
