my name is shekhar.
I want to ask about my carrier in any civil services.
And becouse i am a colorblind guy..and i feel so bad becouse it have no cure..but i really want to go for govt. Serviceslike ips .ACP, eTc. Civil service..
so i want to know that could i give any of exam of civil or i should think some else..

Dear Friend

It is truly said that Color Blindness is incurable and so, if some competition or post
doesn't allow color blind persons then you can never be a part of that.

A color blind person is not eligible for certain services but it doesn't mean that color
blind persons are debarred from the examination.

You are eligible for civil services examination but you should not choose services like;
Indian Police Services, Pondichery Police Services etc.

You can apply for Indian Administrative Services, Indian Revenue services,
Indian Foreign Services, etc.

yes you are eligible to seat in UPSC EXAM

but you can not apply for IPS service
you apply for others loke IAS<IFS ETc.

Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC in every year for the selection
of talented candidate of India.

A colour blind person are are not eligible for some civil services exam but
in some Civil services exam they are eligible.

You are eligible for the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) , Indian Foreign Services (IFS) exam but you are not eligible for the Indian police Services (IPS) exam.

Hello,
For upsc (IAS), there are not such physical standards but for posts like IPS, IFS physical standards are very pronounced. You will get the posts according to your performance in CSAT, although after selection in civil services, colour blindness may be an issue.

As the eligibility criteria says UPSC exams are even available for blind

persons then i don't think color blindness is a problem. But some of the fields in

UPSC like IPS needs physical fitness. Those fields are not available for you.

Yes, you are eligible for UPSC but you cannt join IPS cadre. You can join all other services.

can a color blind person apply for delhi police vacancies ?

dear sir , if i have clear the test of upsc but i have colour blindness partialy but sir i want only IAS so can i debarred from upsc

sorry to say dear you are not eligible for this post.you can try for others govt job.

yes in some civil services fitness is required
like IPS(Indian Police services),
so colour blindness will be a problem.

But there are other posts in UPSC that you can apply for like IAS.
Not to worry ,you can sit for upsc but you need to choose wisely.

Eligibility criteria for the UPSC Civil services exam:
Nationality:indian or indian by origin
Academic: minimum a bachelors degree from any recognized university in any discipline
Age:minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years
Numbers of attempts: OC-4, OBC-7 and SC/ST-no limit
if you posses all the above mentioned criteria you are eligible for UPSC exams.

but being color blind candidate, which has no cure you will not be eligible for few posts like IPS. you can try for other posts.

I had a surgery on my face because of an accident...i have 3 small plates in my left cheek bone coz of a minor fracture there.
Also i m color blind and my right leg has a cut which is around 2 inch wide making it quite visible,though i have no issues with that cut ,everything is good
with it except the big mark as if i dont have skin there....now plz let me know am i eligible for IAS coz more than a dream its a need for me as many things
resides on this hope only tht one day i will be an IAS officer..

u can obviously give the exam..nobody can deny this thing..but ur colour blindness might be a hindrance in ur IPS..because there..this color blindness issue will surely arise..i am so sorry that u can't get into IPS or any of the armed forces..but there are many many more things other than that in which u can get into..like IFS,IAS and many more..
so pls dont be disheartened..

Yes, you are eligible for few exams of UPSC like bank exams and exams for clerk. but you are eligible for those exam in which ,medical exam is must because your disease is life long which can't be cure.

i am colour blind person. which gov. job can apply me. (RR)

There are very few Govt. jobs in which the colour blind person can apply.

You can apply in -
1. Indian Administrative Services
2. Indian Revenue services,
3. Indian Foreign Services

You cannot apply in-
1. IPS
2. IFS
3. IES
4. Airport Authority

So, you should try for other companies & PSU also.

IAS
IRS
IFS
IFoS
Indian Railways service
Indian Postal Service

So even you have the color blindness , it is not at all an issue. You can attempt the exam with no worries.You can focus on your exam.
