Am I eligible for B.Ed from IGNOU after graduation in Geography? What is the cost for the same?
I am a Schedule Caste category candidate. I have scored 48% in graduation in Geography (honours) in 2005. Will I get chance in IGNOU in distance education in B.Ed? How much do they take to complete the course?

B.ED stands for Bachelor of education and it is a teacher training degree course of two years required by those who want to become a professional teacher .
The minimum education required to pursue B.Ed degree course from IGNOU ( Indira Gandhi National Open University ) is a bachelor degree course in any discipline with at least 50% marks ( or 55% in case of technical degree holder ) from a recognised university. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for reserved category candidates. So, having completed your geography ( Hons.) degree course with 48% marks you are eligible to pursue B.Ed degree course if you belong to reserved category candidates.
