IT stands for Information Technology. Some of the major multinational Information technology companies are TCS, IBM, Infosys, Tech Mahindra etc. The eligibility criteria for on campus or off campus recruitment drive of these IT companies are:

>>Candidate must have scored 60% marks or more throughout his academics, from 10th to bachelor's degree.

>>There should not be any active pending backlogs at time of recruitment drive.

>>Maximum of two years gap between studies is allowed.

You are not eligible for these major IT companies because you have three years gap between studies and percentage of marks less than 60%.

To be eligible to apply for job in IT Companies, you should have passed Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology related course from a Government recognised university.

Most of the IT companies allows candidates to participate in recruitment process only those who have minimum 60% aggregate throughout academics and with one or two years study gap. The minimum aggregate required and study gap allowed to apply for job also varies from company to company.

As per the information you have provided in your query, you have passed B.Tech course with 68% aggregate marks from a Government recognised university and have three years study gap, so, it depends on the company which you are applying for job, whether you are eligible to apply for job or not in that IT company.

The eligibility criteria for getting recruitment in Information Technology companies are:

1. You should have done secondary, senior secondary and bachelor's degree from a recognized board. Generally almost all IT companies require that candidate must have 60% or above throughout academics.

2. The maximum gap allowed by major IT companies is two years.

In 12th board exam, you have only 54% marks, there is no chance for you to get job in top most IT companies even when you have 68% marks in Computer science engineering.

As per my knowledge no you are not eligible to get job in good IT companies with 70% in 10th, 54% in 12th and 68% in B.Tech. The minimum percentage required to get a job in IT company is a minimum of 60% in 10th, 12th and Bachelor degree.

As per marks criteria, you are not eligible for maximum IT companies.

General eligibility criteria:-

Required percentage of marks throughout the studies for IT companies are,

IT company= 60%

Candidates having more than two years gap throughout the studies are not eligible for IT companies recruitment process.

So you can try for Wipro, Syntel companies.
