I am in 4th year engineering(electrical). I am interested in doing MBA, as I am not able afford any coaching center,I would like to prepare on my own, so, it would be very helpful if you could give some tips on cracking CAT 2017 exam...to refer which books..please replay and possibly fast

-You should start with practicing the solved examples in the book. Then move to the unsolved ones and finally the previous years' CAT papers. This will help you to analyze your strengths and weaknesses better.

-Stress more on the fundamentals. Revisions of the fundamentals of each topic are extremely crucial to secure a good score.

-It is important to complete particular portion of a subject or topic in an assigned time period. Stick to the plan meticulously and do not procrastinate.

-The way the question paper has been designed it looks like it will be mandatory to attempt all sections and achieve the minimum required percentage in individual sections. Thus you have to give proper attention to every section of the syllabus.

-As mentioned earlier its all about time management in a conceptual exam like this. So its important to solve various problems with greater speed and that is possible when you know the shortcuts well.

-Lastly and most importantly, the candidates should not get nervous or hyper under any circumstances. A calm mind is the key.
