Re: Am i eligible for CTET exam? I have secured 60%
Since you have completed M.A. you should apply for lecturer job in central government college rather than becoming teacher in government school. It would be ideal considering your educational qualification.
If interested you will have to appear for the National Eligibility Test (NET) for the lecturer job in central government college. Anyone with post graduation degree could appear for the NET exam. However NET is very tough and competitive exam. You may have to take help from professional coaching in order to pass the the NET entrance exam. Eligibility: Must be Indian Citizen. You should have post graduate degree in any stream from a recognised university. You must score at least 55 percent in masters course. In case of SC/ST candidates, they need 50 percent marks in PG course. Candidates in the final year of post graduate course may also apply but you will have to meet the percentage criteria and submit the degree within 2 years of appearing in NET exam else you would be disqualified. You will have to choose same subject for NET exam which you choose for post graduate course. There is no age limit to become lecturer. You can also appear for the CTET exam as well. However considering your qualification I would once again insist that you should go for lecturer job in central government colleges instead of school teacher. Anyway if you are still interested only in CTET then make sure you have score at least 55 percent marks in the B.Ed. There is 5 percent relaxation on the percentage for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC |

Re: Am i eligible for CTET exam? I have secured 60%
If you have done Post Graduation with 60% marks and have a B.Ed degree then definitely you can apply for CTET.
So don't worry and start preparing for CTET. CTET is conducted by CBSE for recruiting teachers in Central Government schools. The paper will have objective type questions from Teaching Aptitude and your field of study. So you must revise whatever you have studied in your academic years if you want to succeed in this exam. Along with CTET you also have option to apply for UGC NET because you are a Post Graduate. After qualifying NET you will be eligible for Lecturer job in Colleges. As there are man options for you like CTET and NET. Hence you must not leave any one of them and try to apply for both the examination because you never know what is their in your future. So don't waste any opportunities and apply for every single examination for which you are eligible. For more information visit following websites: -For CTET http://www.ctet.nic.in -For UGC NET http://www.ugcnetonline.in |
