Re: Am I eligible to do MCA after completion of diploma in computer science?
No, you are not eligible to do MCA course after completion of your Diploma in Computer Science. To be eligible to pursue MCA course, you should have passed BCA or Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a Government recognised university with Mathematics and Physics subjects at 12th standard level. So, after completion of your Diploma in Computer Science course, you have to pursue Bachelor's degree course to be eligible to pursue MCA course.

Re: Am I eligible to do MCA after completion of diploma in computer science?
MCA refers to Master of Computer Application and same is a master degree course for which the minimum educational qualification required is a bachelor degree course with at 50% marks from a recognized university. Further the academics of student must include Mathematics as main subjects during higher secondary school degree or one year of bachelor degree course.
Now as far as you are concerned about pursuing MCA degree course right after your diploma in Computer Science degree then it is not possible as diploma degree is equivalent to higher secondary school degree not graduation and hence to pursue MCA degree you need to first complete your graduation degree. |

Re: Am I eligible to do MCA after completion of diploma in computer science?
Master of Computer Application course requires that student must be graduate in various streams like science, computer applications, engineering or technology from recognized institutes of India.
Other than bachelor's degree, there is one essential criteria which requires that MCA aspirant must have studied Mathematics at senior secondary level. Diploma in Computer science candidates can not pursue Master of Computer Application. |

Re: Am I eligible to do MCA after completion of diploma in computer science?
MCA refers to Master of Computer Application for pursuing which the minimum educational qualification required is a graduation in any discipline with at least 50% ( in some cases 55% or 60% ) from a recognized university. Also the academics of candidate must include Mathematics as a main paper either at higher secondary school level or graduation level.
Now as you have mentioned that you are interested in pursuing MCA degree directly after your diploma in computer science degree then it is not possible as diploma degree is equivalent to higher secondary school degree not to graduation degree. So in order to pursue MCA degree course you first need to complete your graduation degree course and then need to qualify entrance examinations like IPU CET, BHU PET, IIT JAM, NIMCET, etc. for pursuing MCA degree course from good institutes. |
