I'm a EEE student. If i know basics in c & c++ means am i eligible to get placed in TCS, or did i require other language knowledge?

If it is so mens tell me the apt language tools required.

Please answer my above questions if u know abt TCS and its requirements........

you can get placed in TCs with the basics of C/C++ as you are not from I.T/ comps branch. They will ask you about your projects especially the B.E project, so prepare very well about them.[i.e advantages, applications etc].
For aptitude there wont be requirement of C/C++, its aptitude consist of verbal,non-verbal and counts. R.S agarwal book will be useful.

Study some basics of networking as TCS is hiring more students in TCS-ITIS field...n if u have few days left then dont use Agrwal..go through the latest TCS aptitude format..they repeat same type of questions every time..all d best

Please go through TCS previous years aptitude papers which can help you a lot.You can avail papers from many sites.

This is a very useful site.You can get all papers of various companies, can give online aptitude test, you can also have a quick glance at c/c++ and much more. This site I recommend you to refer and practice for your aptitude test.It will really benefit you.

All the best ....Be confident and you will be placed in TCS. If you don't get placed , then don't be disheartened you will be placed in any other reputed company.

Dear pal, what you know is only a basic language. Many programming languages has been developed and you will not be able to get placed with this basic qualification . You need to get knowledge on the latest software which include java and others. Moreover for certain post they specify degree in engineering as a criteria so it will be better if you persue it if you do not have the degree.

The first thing is you should be fulfill all requirments of mnc companies.TCS is

one one the best Mnc companies in india.So there is some requirments.

These are some requirments.

You should have 60% in 10th and 12th.

You should have 65% in your engineering for on campus and 75% for off

campus.

You should not have any backlog.


So if you fulfill all requirments then you can apply for a job in tcs company.


If you have knowledge about the basic language like C and C++ languages

and if you are good in these basic languages then its very good for you.It can

help you to get a good job.

One another thing is very important if you have knowledge in any perticular

field like programming,netwoking then its also very good for you.

Eligibility For TCS

In order to appear for TCS placement..you need to fulfill the following conditions :-

1) You should have 60% or above in 10th,12th and B.Tech

2) Study gap of not more than 1 year

3) No active backlogs at the time of placement..

If you 2 or 3 computer languages like C,C++,JAVA..that would be more than sufficient..
Just be confident on what you say..

The knowledge of only c and c++ is not enough for getting job in TCS.

Today almost 70% work are performed on java plateform and 30% are performed on .NET so you should atleast complete these two courses to get good job.And as you just said ,you have good knowledge of c and c++ so it will not create difficulty for you in learning these languages as the logic applied are same as were in c++.

A part from these a prior knowledge of PHP can maximize your chances.

Also you must have good communication skill.

With just a basic knowledge of a programming language, wont get you anywhere in an IT firm, be it any language.

Have at least just the theoretical knowledge of concepts like method overloading etc. to be able to get past your interview.

Eligibility criteria of TCS

• You must have got atleast 60% in class 10th and 12th.
• You must have atleast 65% in B.Tech to appear in on campusing and atleast 75% for off campusing

• More than 2 year gap in your educational career can create problem.

Since today is the period of specialists and you are a EEE student so you will have to fight against CSE/IT students for getting job so you must match the quality of cse student to get job in software company like TCS. so a knowledge of only basic languages like c and c++ is not enough. You should have knowledge in following languages :

• JAVA
• .NET
• PHP
