Annamalai University is a very renowned university and almost all the disciplines are taught here. One can also pursue PG Diploma in Automobile Maintenance from this University. This course has several papers and Paper I is Basics of Automobiles. This subject forms the fundamental base of the subject and hence is crucial to the study of Automobile Maintenance.

Paper Pattern

Like other conventional exams, this exam is also of three hours and carries 100 marks in aggregate. These 100 marks of the test are divided into two sections.

Section A: There are six questions in the first section. Students have to answer any three from the first section.

Section B: Section B consists of four questions out of which students are required to answer any two.

Markings and questions:

The questions are all of equal marks. Each question carries 20 marks.  The questions may have sub questions. Usually each question is broken up into two sub questions.  There can be questions regarding drawing diagrams of relevant parts and mechanisms which are taught in the subject.  The subject is very interesting and this exam can be a scoring one if the syllabus is studied in its entirety. Enough attention should be paid to the drawing part of the questions. The questions are usually, not very tough.
