It's not an issue, If your university is approved by UGC then your eligible for IAS entrance examination for sure. The candidate who completed graduation course are eligible to participate in this entrance examination. IAS stands for (Indian Administrative Officer) and this entrance examination is conducted by UPSC for every year. The selection procedure for this entrance examination is divided into three levels,

-Civil Service Aptitude
-Main Examination and
-Interview

Only Indian citizens who are above 21 years of age and under 30 years can participate in IAS entrance examination. Applicants must be graduate (bachelor degree course) or must be undergoing the final year of graduation. So, If you have satisfy the criteria then your eligible to apply for IAS entrance examination.

Educational Qualifications to appear in this exams:Graduation pass in any stream from an recognised University

Age Limit:Minimum 21 years for all candidates
Maximum age is 32 years for General category candidates
3 years age relation for OBC candidates
5 years for SC/ST candidates

Number of attempts:
6 attempts for general candidates
9 attempts for OBC candidates
No restriction for SC/ST candidates


Next UPSC Civil Services Prelims exams notification would be released by UPSC 7th February 2018.

Last date to apply is 6th march 2018.
UPSC prelims exams is on 3rd June 2018.
