Am I eligible for the IIST entrance examination? What's the syllabus for the same? Should I give more preference to astronomy and astrophysics unlike other entrance examinations? I have 9.6 CGPA in 10th and having good percentage in 11th


Respected Sir,
I am currently in 12th standard (CBSE board) and my CGPA was 9.6 in 1oth board exams. My 11th % was also good. So am I eligible to appear for the IIST entrance examination. If yes, then what is the syllabus for it? Should I give more preference to astronomy and astrophysics unlike other entrance examinations?

IIST stands for Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology.
It is best college for students to take admission in undergraduate courses who want to make their career in field of Space and related research.
No special entrance examination is conducted for admission in IIST.
IIST accept registration for admission on the basis of marks obtained in JEE Advance.

IIST offers courses at Undergraduate courses are
-B.Tech in Aerospace and avionics for 4 years.
-Dual degree course of 5 years for B.Tech+M.Tech/M.S
IIST announces admission for undergraduate program in December and admission brochure is uploaded on official website in May and registration starts in June and counseling for selection of students is completed in July.

Minimum marks required in JEE Advance for registration in 2015 are
100 for General
90 for OBC-NCL
50 for SC/ST.
