Yes off course , you can still get IITs after passing B.Tech through better performance in GATE. Please note that you shouldn't have any backlogs .GATE stands for General Aptitude Test in Engineering and if you will perform better in this exam , you have the chance to get IITs and NITs .Check the eligibility criteria for GATE examination from below :

So focus on the syllabus of last 2 years of your B.Tech courses as questions are asked mainly from these as these 2 years contains mainly the branch paper.

With Regards

Hi

Yes. You can study M.tech at IIT. But you need to score extremely good marks in GATE exam to get qualified for IIT institutes. You need to score marks like above 97% to study at IIT.

Note- You should not have any back-log.

The eligibility Criteria

-Post B.sc and Post Diploma Holders

-M.sc degree holders

All the very best for GATE exam

If there is a gap of like 1 to 2 years, b/w passing 12th & entering into B.tech, does it cause any trouble for being eligible for M.Tech in IIT?
