Am I eligible to teach B.Tech, M.Tech students?
I did my MCA then i joined as lecturer in engineer college which is having BTECH,MCA...i taught for 3 years, i resined my job then i did my MTECH(CSE)..My question is most of them are now saying that i am not eligible for teaching BTECH I can only teach for MCA...then what's the use of doing MTECH?....Iam I eligible for teaching BTECH, MTECH students?...please help me out and give me reply as per AICTE norms?..please dont giv me vague answers saying yes or no....

Yes you are eligible and there is no doubt about it. You need to get NET qualification for Govt teaching jobs. Anyways this is not a constraint in pvt colleges/inst however higher degree Mphil/PHD can fetch you professor rank in Govt inst.

As per AICTE for technical education, MTech/ME people can teach BE/BTech students.
For a govt lecturer minimum ME/MTech is required/ This is not followed in Andhra and Tamil Nadu Private colleges; anyway no one bothers. |
