my cgpa is 7.23(till 6th sem)
my 3rd sem sgpa is 6.6 which is not 60%.
so am i eligible for tcs?

Yes, you can apply for the placement process of TCS. For this, you need to have a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. Marks in each semesters are not taken in to consideration. They often take care of the aggregate marks. You must be free of backlogs. Not more than 2 year study gap is allowed.

You have mentioned that you have scored 7.23 cgpa which is nearly 70% marks .

For TCS the eligibility criteria to apply for an entry level position in TCS is minimum aggregate marks of 60% or above .

This aggregate marks is the aggregate of all subjects in all semesters and not the aggregate of any particular semester .

So though you have scored 6.6 sgpa for one of the semesters you need not worry , you surely can apply for the TCS.

Though one of your sgpa is 6.6 your aggregate of all subjects in all semesters is 7.3 so you are surely eligible for TCS.

First i will like to tell you that if you have scored a minimum of 6.5 CGPA in your Engineering course then it is equivalent to 60%.So you do not have to worry about that.

You will only allowed to apply for campus placement/OffCampus Placement if you will be in Fifth semester/You have finally completed your course.Till now you have completed your Sixth semester,so you will not be eligible for jobs in TCS.To apply for jobs in TCS,You will have to complete your Eight(8th) semester.

Eligibility required to apply for jobs in TCS

1. Your minimum aggregate marks in Bachelor/Engineering/Post Graduation,Class X and Class XIIth should be 60%.
2. You do not have any backlogs/pending papers of your previous semester.
3. You must have completed your course within given course period.

First Attempt details :

• You must have completed all your courses within first attempt.
• For Example - It means if you have given class XIIth and in first attempt you have got 59.4% and to improve your marks you have given improvement exam and get 65% then you will not be eligible to apply for jobs in TCS.

Other Important Eligibility details :

1. Your education break should not be above 24 months.
2. Only Full Time courses are considered,thus if you have completed your course from distance learning then you cannot apply for jobs in TCS.

• Maximum duration of written test will be 1 hour and 50 minutes.
• Total number of questions will be 75.
• Each questions will be of 4 marks.
• Negative marking for each wrong answer will be 1.

• English Grammar.
• Puzzles related to Number,Alphabets and Sequences.

Yes you are eligible for placement in TCS.

It is not required to have above 60% in every semester, only aggregate should be above 60% to be eligible.

You also need to have minimum 60% in 10th and 12th and you should not have more than 2 years of gap between studies at any stage of your academic career.

Concentrate on Communication skills and fundamentals of programming languages to enhance your chances of getting placed.

If you have 65% throughout 10th ,12th and Btech.Then you are eligible in TCS.
If you are a CSE or IT graduate student then you may get a post in TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES (TCS).
you should have a minimum of 65% and with out any backlog in any semester.
Just go to their site and place your resume there.
If they interested they will definitely call you.
otherwise there are 80% companies which required minimum 60%

It depends upon the TCS criteria ,Some times there criteria is 60 % for all the semester and some times 55%. It depends on your luck..

Dear Friend as you have mention that you are in the 3rd year (6th Sem) then you can not apply for it. you have to first of all complete your Graduation or being a final year candidate you become eligible for applying this exam....

And one more thing that you have mention that you have got 6.66 SGPA in your 3rd sem then don't worry about it it is already cross the minimum limit that is 60%.... (Percentages = 100*[SPI - 0.5])......

Educational Qualification:-

A candidate after completing their Graduation degree in the Field of Computer/ IT Field/ Telecommunication/ Electronics can apply for this examination.....

Percentages Criteria:-

A candidate should have completed their Graduation with at least 60% through out their Education career from the Recognized Universities....

Eligibility For TCS

TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) is the most profitable IT company in India as of now..

They are mass recruiters and they generally hire candidates from various colleges for the post of Associate Software Engineer

The minimum requirements which one must fulfill in order to appear for the TCS placement are as follows :-

1) The minimum percentage requirement to appear for the TCS campus placement is to have 60% in 10th,12th and B.Tech till 6th sem..

2) There should be no pending backlogs when you appear for the placement exam..

3) The maximum study gap that you may have is that of 2 years..

Any company didn't bothered about the semester wise CGPA.Because they cumulate your SGPA for four years then that CGPA will take into consideration.In that case you are eligible for TCS.Don't worry!
