i am ma student and having 77% marks til my third semester and i got a backlog in my fourth semester result so i put revaluation for that and hopefully there is chance for pass, but i want to know that shall i am eligible for top IT companies or not.

no you are not eligible because at that time of interview you chould be all clear means 0 backlog.

Top IT companies allows to appear in interview in such condition but before that you have to clear your backlog n after dat u can apply 4 interviews ..........

take candidates only if they have not any backlogs.

company's who will not take the candidates if they have any
backlog.

But don't worry there are other big company's in which you can apply
if you have any backlog in future. But remember one thing that all

There are very few companies , which recruite students having backlogs, if you are thinking of joining company's like IBM, TCS, WIPRO, Infosys , then it would be better if you first clear your backlogs, otherwise you may start with some small firms , then after gaining some experience apply to some good companies or PSUs.

Eligibility criteria for IT Companies JOBS in following organisations such as TCS, INFOSYS, IBM, SATYAM, WIPRO etc. are as follows: -

1. Pass B.E. or B.Tech. or B.Sc or MCA or M.E. or M.Tech. or M.S. or M.Sc with minimum 65 % aggregate marks from a regonised institute / university.

2. No standing backlogs are allowed.

3. GAP should not be more than 2 years in the education.

4. M.Tech. and MCA students having minimum 3 years experience.

5. 10 th & 12 th standard - Minimum 60 % aggregate marks from a regonised board.

backlog are common in engineering don't worry regarding this , as you have 77% which is very good , with this percentile you can sit in any of the top IT company.

generally top company want no backlogs at the time of placement ,so if you clear your backlog till placement time then you can sit in for most of the top company.

i think yes u are....there are just few companies who used to ask no history of arrear....company like syntel,wipro,HCL,CSC have no such condition till 2011.so i think yes still u have a chance to join some high ranking software companies....all the best

YES you are eligible for top IT companies.

Just keep in mind that you should not have any live backlogs while submitting your resume to the company.
so clear the backlog as soon as possible.

You have a good aggregate try to maintain and increase it.

Dear friend don't worry only in some company not allow to seat backlog student .............

but almost company allow to seat in interview.................

because for backlog may be any cause that,s why company not see backlog.......

but you should clear it before 6th sem. because all company come after 6th sem............

Do not worry as per your marks in prevous exams i dont think so that you will get any backlogs because your marks are really too good.

But yes it is true that if you get backlog then there will be many problems for you to get job in big & good I.T. companies.

As any company normally avoids taking studemts who have got backlogs in there career.

Even if they take you then they will pay less salary to you as compared to your other coleagues & friends.

But this situation is not permanent as soon as you gain experience of 3 to 4 years no one cares about your marks & grades.

They just check your performance & knowledge & accrding to it they hire you.

So be optimistic whatever the result may be...........

I got a backlog in one of the subjects in my 7th semester due to health reasons.I have already been placed in two companies.I do have the chance of clearing it within the month of december.Will it create any problems for me during joining.My career is over 85%.

im placed in L & T Infotech through campus drive... i had no backlogs at the tym of interview... bt in 7th semester i got two backlogs.... i dnt knw when d re-evaluation results would come.. my joining is in july...

sorry to say dear you are not eligible for any software company because they want only fresh candidate.

here i have giving two software companies criteria:-

For ACCENTURE eligibility criteria is 60% in through out. Backlog candidate are not allowed .maximum two years gap are allowed.

for INFOSYS eligibility criteria is 65% above in through out. Backlog candidate are not allowed .maximum two years gap are allowed.

having a backlog is not a problem at all ....it depend upon company's criteria that weather they allow or not for the interview...some company allow some dont...some times even tcs also allow the candidates having 2 backlos bt you have to clear the back bofore your joinig the compony...so dont take any tension nd wish u all the best for your carreer na clear ur back as soon as possible...

These are the minimum requirements you have to fulfill to appear in any campus drive of a leading IT company.
As you have mentioned that you have a due backlog during your post graduation course, then sorry to say you that you are not eligible..
To appear in any exam or any campus drive, you have to first clear your due backlog and get a clear result as soon as possible..

Since you have backlog,for some very reputed companies you won't be eligible since they have criteria that you should have no live/dead backlogs.
But most of companies considers it but doesn't allow live backlog i.e while applying for placement if you have not cleared your previous backlog or you have got a backlog in the current semester. I hope you clear your backlog in the revaluation and be eligible for all reputed companies that comes for recruitment.
