I am pleased to inform that you can join Indian Army for an Officer in Indian Army after completing 12th(Arts) standard.

Pay Scale:- Rs. 20,000 to 60,000

To become an Army Officer after 12th, you need to appear in NDA entrance examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year namely as NDA-I & NDA-II.

NDA:- National Defence Academy
UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission


Eligibility criteria for NDA Exam:

• You should have completed 12th standard in any stream from recognized university/board.
  
• Your Age should be with in 16.5 to 19 years.
  
• You should be Unmarried & Male aspirant.
  
• You must have an Indian citizenship.

Physical Standard required for Indian Army:

Height :- 157.5 cms (minimum)

Weight :- 42 Kg (minimum)

Chest :- 84cm and should be able to expand the chest for 5cm.

Visual Standard:-

Uncorrected without glass: 6/6

Corrected with glass: 6/6

Limits of Myopia: -0.75

Limits of Hypermetropia: +1.5

HI FRIEND,

If you have completed your Intermediate examination with Arts Stream form a recognised Board, and Interested to Join Indian Army, then you have to cracked the UPSC NDA Examination.

NDA : National Defence Academy

This examination is conducted by UPSC Twice in a year for the Recruitment of these wings :

>> Army wings
>> Naval Wings
>> Air Force Wings

If you have completed your 12Th examination with Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects, then you are eligible for All these wings of NDA.

But you have completed your 12Th examination form Arts, So you are only eligible for Army Wings of NDA.

Only Unmarried male candidates are apply for NDA Examination, But for this your age should between 16.5 to 19 Years, no upper age relaxation is applicable for any candidates.

The selection are based on written test, personal Interview and Medical test and those who cracked all these stages are eligible for Training.

The examination is Objective and you have to cracked the 2 papers of Mathematics and General Ability Test.

The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms.

So, If you are Interested to join Indian Army, then please apply for Next year NDA (I) Examination, The Notification will be declared on 31/Dec/2011 and the last date of apply for this examination 30/Jan/2012 and the Preliminary examination will be held on 15/April/2012.
